Improper Control of Generation of Code ('Code Injection') vulnerability in dendibakh perf-ninja (labs/misc/pgo/lua modules). This vulnerability is associated with program files ldo.C. This issue affects perf-ninja.
The vulnerability results from improper code generation control in the ldo.C file, which is part of the Lua module of the perf-ninja project. An attacker can supply specially crafted input data, which is then interpreted and executed as code — without requiring permissions or user interaction. The network vector (AV:N) with no authentication requirements (PR:N) and low attack complexity (AC:L) means that the exploit can be performed remotely and in a repeatable manner.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability allows an attacker to gain full control over the system — including reading and modifying data as well as destabilizing services — both in the scope of the directly attacked component and related systems (high impact on SC/SI/SA).
Patches available from the vendor should be applied in accordance with the references — changes introduced as part of pull request #129 in the repository https://github.com/dendibakh/perf-ninja/pull/129.
